Funeral Tuesday Mrs. Caretta B. Everson, 71, of 811 E. Jefferson St., died Saturday night at Carmen Nursing Home after a long illness. A native of near New Market, she was born Dec. 24, 1895 to Charles W. and Eva N. Buser Easley. She married Paul T. Everson at New Market on Feb. 15, 1914. He died Dec. 8, 1961. They lived near Ladoga, moving to Crawfordsville in 1942. Mrs. Everson was a member of the First Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship here. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn J. Carlile and Mrs. William A. Surface of Crawfordsville; a grandson and two granddaughters, Robert A. Smiley Jr., Mrs. Robert L. Snyder and Mrs. Michael Goforth, all of this city; a great-granddaughter, Tracy E. Goforth, and three sisters, Mrs. Walter Tague of Indianapolis, Mrs. John C. Saidla of Chesterton and Mrs. H. E. Cowdin of North Las Vegas, Nev. A daughter and two brothers preceded Mrs. Everson in death. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bright Funeral Home, with Rev. Howard F. Miller officiating and burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - thanks so very much Sue P. for this one
